WHO WE ARE

Corey Taylor is a musician, singer, songwriter, actor and author from Des Moines, Iowa.

He began his career in music as the lead singer for Stone Sour in the early 90's and then joined Slipknot in 1997. The band's unique blend of heavy metal and industrial style music quickly gained a massive following.

Corey's grandfather, Claire Taylor, was a Korean War veteran and like many veterans, his grandfather suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder. Over the years, Corey's memories of his grandfather, combined with his experiences with PTSD, spurred him to try to create a platform to help those who need assistance.

In 2022, Corey launched The Taylor Foundation in an effort to combat the affects PTSD has on the veteran and first responder communities by raising money to support local non-profits who are actively serving in their communities.

The Taylor Foundation partners with local non-profits that offer services to both veterans and first responders in order to meet them where they are and give them a local outlet for connection and healing.
