We want all veterans and first responders who have previously experienced or currently suffer from PTSD, otherwise known as post traumatic stress disorder, to find connection and healing through our local partnerships. With your help, we know that we can make this vision become a reality. The Taylor Foundation exists to raise money and awareness for local organizations that help treat or uplift members of the military and emergency service personnel who are dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder.
Unfortunately, PTSD has become very common in the veteran and first responder communities. June is considered PTSD awareness month but it is our belief that awareness efforts should continue on throughout the year. Our hope is that by spreading awareness and understanding, through our platform and local connections, we can help those affected by PTSD find access to the help they need to fully recover and live out fulfilling lives.
Veterans and first responders need to be able to find and engage with local non-profits in their area. This is why The Taylor Foundation has partnered with local non-profits who are creative and active in their efforts to serve our veterans and first responders. We hope by bringing awareness to these local organizations that veterans and first responders in these communities will get plugged in to take the next step along the path of healing.
We hope that by bringing awareness to these issues and partnering with local organizations, we can begin to reduce the stigma that is inherently associated with mental health issues and PTSD. We hope that through this we can bring hope to and encourage all veterans and first responders to seek help when they need it and have a local outlet they can lean on when times get hard or when they need to connect with someone who can provide immediate assistance.
